Buon appetito for local students at Pop Brixton!

Students from local Lansdowne School visited Pop for a tour in early June, where they learnt how to make their very own pasta! Everyone had a go kneading and then shaping the pasta, and one particularly skilful student was crowned Masterchef… After another hands on session designing weird and wonderful beasts with Ella from Into Art, followed by a mini disco in the Popbox, they replenished their energy by eating the fruits of their labour – fresh pasta with a tomato ragu.

Thanks to Stefania and Pietro at Franzina Trattoria who shared their secret Sicilian pasta skills with the Year 11s, Ella who helped inspire some beautiful drawings, and Jack at Container Records who helped them unwind with some bangin’ tunes to finish it all off…
