The Healthy Living Club at Lingham Court hold a community day for people with Dementia and their carers every Wednesday at Lingham Court, in Stockwell. The group gather around a programme of therapeutic activities and is part of the College of Medicine’s innovation network.

They want B£’s to pay for local caterers, musicians and activity sessions.

RMO have been based in Brixton for over 25 years supporting migrants and refuges primarily, but not exclusively, of Latin American origin. They provide advice, information, training and education as well as a range of activity sessions for young people.

The Vida Walsh Centre has a long history in Windrush Square. It’s currently run by Age UK Lambeth and who run a range of activities for people over 55.  They want B£’s to run arts and craft workshops, zumba classes and for raffle prizes and special events.

Brixton Foodbank was set up to help combat an alarming rise in families living below the poverty line. They need B£’s to get food supplies to distribute to local people in crisis.


REMAKERY BRIXTON

Remakery Brixton is a cooperative that is developing a shared workspace and incubator for local reuse and repair enterprises. They need B£’s for the renovation of disused garages and for volunteers expenses.

 

TRANSITION TOWN

Transition Town Brixton works to vision, plan and pioneer the pathway to a low energy future. A range of social enterprises have grown out of Transition Town, including the B£! They need B£’s to run the transition community centre, including to pay a local electrician, run workshops and open days.

TIME BANK LAMBETH SOUTH CENTRAL

Time Bank Lambeth S.C is a part of SLaM & Fanon Southside partnership but heavily relies on volunteers to help the running of its projects. They would like B£’s to run a local ‘Come Dine with Me’ for timebank members.
