The B£ e-currency (B£e) enables you to ‘Pay by Text’ in any business that accepts B£e, making payment in B£s simpler and more instantaneous. By signing up for the B£e you get 10% extra spending power - so for every £10.00 you pay in, you get B£e11.00 credited to your account. There is no upper limit – so pay in £100 and you’ll get B£e110 for example.

Managing your account

Pay by Text operates much like a mobile phone ‘pay as you go top-up’ system. Just open your B£e account on-line, and you will be able to transfer money or set-up a standing order to top-up credit into the account. You can then use your credit to ‘pay by text’ instantaneously at any of the many particpating businesses. You can also check your balance by text whenever you want.

How does it work?

Once you have an account set-up you can Pay by Text in 2 simple steps:

1) Just send a text to B£e bank* instructing payment to a B£ business with your unique PIN, the businesses’ username and the amount to be paid.

e.g. ”pay 1234 whitehorse 12.99″ (1234 is your secret pin and whitehorse is the business’s username)

2) B£e bank will send a text to both the B£e business and the customer confirming the transaction and payment received.  The transaction is then complete.

* B£e bank number sent to you when you have registered and activated your account.
