Managing your account
Pay by Text operates much like a mobile phone ‘pay as you go top-up’ system. Once you’ve opened a B£e online account you will be able to top-up your account in one of two ways:
1). Transfer money or set-up a standing order to the B£e account. The account number and sort code are given below. It may take between 4 and 12 hours for the credit to appear on your pay-by-text account although it is usually much faster. You will then have credit to pay by text instantaneously at any of the participating businesses.

Payment reference: please enter your mobile phone number using 12 digit international format, i.e. 447912345678.
Please note that if you use this function, paypal will deduct a fee of 3.4% from the amount you pay. We will then apply the 10% to this amount. For example, if you top-up with £10, Paypal will deduct 54p and your account account will show a credit of B£e9.46 plus 10% bonus of 95p.
How does it work?
Once you have an account set-up and have added credit to it you can pay-by-text in two simple steps:
1) You send a text to B£e bank (07797 880200) instructing payment to a B£ business with your unique PIN, the businesses’ username and the amount to be paid.
e.g. ”pay 1234 whitehorse 12.99″ (1234 is your pin and whitehorse is the name of the businesss you want to pay)
2) B£e bank will send a text to you and the B£e business confirming the transaction and payment received. The transaction is then complete.
An error message will be received if the wrong PIN is entered or if the customer has insufficient funds.
